Iselin, NJ, July 20, 2009 -

BASF Catalysts has been selected as a Diamond Supplier for 2008 by Navistar, Inc. [NYSE: NAV], one of the world’s leading truck and engine manufacturers. This is the second consecutive year that BASF has received this prestigious award, which is presented to less than two percent of Navistar’s supply base. The award recognizes those suppliers that exceed Navistar’s performance expectations for quality, delivery and cost; are strategically aligned with its business goals; and demonstrate a commitment to continuous service.

"It is a true honor to be chosen as a Navistar Diamond Supplier for the second year in a row,” said Frank Ardite, Commercial Director, Heavy Duty Diesel, for BASF Catalysts. "We value our collaborative relationship and will continue to work closely with Navistar to provide them with the most innovative products on time and on budget."

BASF Catalysts makes significant investments in research and development, applications engineering and manufacturing to deliver advanced technologies to serve its customers. These technologies have made Navistar’s new International® brand trucks equipped with MaxxForce® brand diesel engines so clean that it would take 60 of today’s trucks to equal the emissions of a single 1988 model year truck.

“We work closely with Navistar to understand their business and be responsive to their needs to help make them more successful,” said Daniel Shareck, Heavy Duty Diesel Account Manager for BASF Catalysts. “We take pride in our unwavering customer commitment and look forward to continuing to earn Navistar’s confidence and trust in the years ahead.”

BASF Catalysts’ mobile emission control technologies offer cost-effective regulatory compliance solutions for light-duty gasoline and diesel engines, heavy-duty diesel engines, motorcycles, small engines and more. BASF Catalysts has been supplying advanced diesel-emission control technologies to Navistar for more than six years.
