Nysofact® & Nysosel® catalyst series

BASF’s Nysofact® and Nysosel® hydrogenation catalytic technologies are precipitated nickel catalysts on proprietary supports. They contain various levels of reduced nickel as the active metal, and the catalyst powder is coated in fully hardened vegetable oil (droplet shape).

Applications of these technologies are the hydrogenation of edible and inedible oils, fatty acids, triglycerides, fatty amines and fatty acid monomers.
